Great Movies On Satellite Tv
If you have satellite TV, then you know that there are lots of great movies to choose from on the movie channels that are great to watch any day and at any time. Since there are so many movies to choose from, you are bound to come across a good Brad Pitt movie while you are scrolling through the options.
If you are looking for one of his older movies, you should check out Twelve Monkey. Twelve Monkeys, also starting Bruce Willis, is a psychological thriller that incorporates several themes. The movie starts in a world and time that the viewer in unsure of and it isn’t and won’t be made clear whether this world that we see exists or if it only exists in the mind of Willis’ character, James. The first world we see James in is either the future or present time, but it is a world in which most of the human race has been whipped out by a deadly disease that can be traced back to monkeys. There is a group of scientists that choose people from who is left of the human race and have them to go back in time to try to stop the person who released the virus from doing so. The problem is, is that the scientist do not know who and how the virus was released so they have to keep sending people to do reconnaissance missions and the people doing the recon don’t have all of the information and tools needed to do their job properly without seeming like a mental patient; which is what ends up happening to James. So, during his first trip back in time he is so obsessed with getting to where the scientists tell him that he gets locked up in a mental institution and the doctors there still think he’s crazy because he says he’s from the future and that they are all going to die unless he stops the virus from spreading. While he is in the mental institution he meets Brad Pitt’s character, who is the son of a very wealthy business man who owns several laboratories where they test new drugs on animals. Somehow, through flashbacks and flash forwards through time, James ends up convincing his psychiatrist of the reality of his delusions and she jumps on board to help him stop the virus from being released. And, the determine that they need to stop Pitt’s character who is the head of the group, the Twelve Monkeys.
Meanwhile, we aren’t sure if its in their heads or not, but there are several things that happen to lead us to believe that he is actually moving through time. Regardless of the plot, the film begs the question of who should decide where the line is drawn between sane and insane and whether these supernatural things actually happen or not. So if that’s something that interests you at all, in addition to being entertained by the great actors Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis, then this film is definitely one you should check out on your satellite TV.
